The Golden Book of Chemistry Experiments, written by Robert Brent and illustrated by Harry Lazarus, is a 1960s childrens book that tells kids how they can set up a home chemistry lab to conduct simple chemistry experiments. The first edition of the book was printed in 1962. A second printing was released in 1962 and a revised edition was printed in 1963. Supposedly the US government had the book removed from libraries and banned for sale on the grounds that the projects were too dangerous for kids. According to the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC), only 126 copies of the book are available in libraries. A family helps mold each person into who they eventually will become. The family is a guide for the success of a childs future. The stability of family creates a building block for how the child will progress throughout life. When parents divorce, the children are left with no stability causing them to lose basic concepts of childhood that may carry with them throughout life. Children of divorced parents have less success and happiness creating less productive citizens in our nation. Watching parents take a home from a traditional family lifestyle to a broken home by getting a divorce is very devastating to a childs mental well-being. My personal experience has shown that money does not last as long when only one income supports the same number of children as two incomes previously supported.
